The Atlantic County Mental Health Administrator serves as the liaison between the Mental Health Advisory Board and county government, the New Jersey Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services and other county, regional, state and federal mental health planning and policy groups involved with State funded mental health programs for adults. You may contact Kathy Quish, LCSW, Mental Health Administrator at (609) 645-7700, extension 4519.

In 2018, the Atlantic County Board of Commissioners passed a resolution in support of the establishment of Stigma-Free communities throughout the county. This campaign is spreading throughout the state and Atlantic County is in full support of all attempts to reduce stigma associated with mental illness. The campaign has the goals of raising awareness of mental illness and creating a culture where residents feel supported by their community and neighbors and feel free to seek treatment without fear of stigma.

Here is a “Stigma-Free" Page that has further information and ideas about how to help spread the movement in your town, school, organization, club or religious congregation.
