Request an Adjournment (New Court Date)

If you need to reschedule your court hearing, you must request an adjournment immediately through the Judicial Electronic Document Submission (JEDS) portal. An adjournment will only be granted if there is a very good reason to do so that could not have been reasonably foreseen or prevented. Once the request is received and approved by the court, a paper notification will be mailed with confirmation of new court date.

You may also use the JEDS portal to submit correspondence or complete forms to the municipal court. This includes but is not limited to: general questions to the court, a completed Financial Questionnaire or Notice of Appearance.

Municipal Case Resolution Prior to Court

If you would like to Dispute your Traffic Ticket online, please visit njmcdirect.com and complete the following steps:

1. Enter ticket information
2. Click Continue
3. When your ticket information appears, it will say Dispute.
4. Create an Account
5. Proceed as directed

Please Note: This is Time Sensitive - Once submitted, the Prosecutor will review your case and make an offer. You have 5 days to respond to the Prosecutor. If not completed in the 5-day time frame, your case will no longer be eligible for Online Dispute and you will receive a new pay-by-date or may call the court to receive a court date. If your ticket was previously scheduled for court, please contact our office for further assistance.

You may submit certain correspondence or completed forms to the municipal court through the Judiciary Electronic Documents Submission (JEDS) system. This includes but is not limited to: general questions to the court, a request for an adjournment, a completed Financial Questionnaire, or a Notice of Appearance. Expunging Your Court Record

An expungement is the removal, sealing, impounding, or isolation of all records on file within any court, detention or correctional facility, law enforcement or criminal justice agency. A court ordered expungement can remove your arrest, all court proceedings related to your case, your criminal or juvenile conviction, and/or the outcome of your case, including your sentence.
