Requesting an Accommodation:

It is the policy of Atlantic County Government to provide equal access for people with disabilities to all of its activities, services, policies and programs. Under Title II of the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) and under the NJ LAD (Law Against Discrimination), clients who need a reasonable accommodation to utilize County programs/services should make their needs known to the County’s ADA Coordinator. In order to request an accommodation for an activity, service, policy or program, please contact the ADA Coordinator at bakley_alyson@aclink.org or at 609-645-7700 x4386.

Grievance Procedure:

If a member of the public wishes to file a grievance alleging discrimination on the basis of disability in the provision of accessibility, services, activities, programs, or benefits provided by the County of Atlantic, they can report the problem to the ADA Coordinator.  The member of the public may report a grievance verbally, in writing, or by utilizing the complaint form linked below.

The complaint should contain information about the alleged discrimination such as name, address, phone number of complainant and location, date, description of the problem, and suggestions of alternative accommodations. Please use the form linked below or a letter.   The complaint should be submitted by the grievant and their designee as soon as possible but no later than 60 calendar days after the alleged violation to:

Upon request, alternative means of filing complaints, such as personal interviews or a recording of the complaint will be made available for persons with disabilities.
