Everyone should enjoy a long, healthy life and we offer resources to put you on the right path.  We offer clinical services and health screenings at low or no cost or you can schedule a free health education session on a health topic of interest for your community group.    

Caring for Our Environment

Our health professionals are committed to ensuring safe and healthy environments wherever you go in Atlantic County. From restaurants to rodents, street fairs to swimming pools, we inspect and investigate potential health hazards. We also provide trusted information on important environmental issues that impact you and your family at work, home and in the community.

Reducing Stigma

Through specialized community programs and trainings, we offer prevention and treatment services for drug and alcohol abuse and misuse.  From referrals for services to Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) education for offenders, NARCAN training to school-based prevention programs, we seek to inform and educate across the lifespan.

Promoting Health and Wellness

Ready to develop health habits? Whether you want to quit smoking, spend more time walking or have concerns about preventing Lyme Disease or West Nile Virus, we can help you find resources and information to get you started.

Public Health is always working behind the scenes to develop plans for emergency and disaster response.  We want you to feel safe when things are uncertain and to have a resource for accurate and reliable information.  We work closely with national, state and local authorities to actively prepare for health emergencies.

Using sophisticated information technology systems, we track and report on disease outbreaks and monitor a variety of potential health hazards. Our communication networks enable allow us instantly relay information and alerts to organizations and individuals throughout the county.
